Also their is a 40 plus Aircraft Collection, containing the SR71 Blackbird, the worlds fastest aircraft. In addition there are reproductions of space capsules, rockets and missiles. The visitor can view the bridges of the display ships, top secret intelligence and missile areas, crews' berthing, galleys and the engine rooms on the EDSON and GROWLER. There are more than seven hours of movies, videos and multi-media presentations. The museum offers a comprehensive schedule of temporary and new permanent exhibits. |

1997 Ron Horabins' book 'Tribute to a Flower' was reviewed by the magazine 'Model
Boats'. The magazine is sold world wide and after reading
the review Ray Guinta, from New Jersey, wrote to Ron
requesting a copy. Ray wished to build a model of H.M.S.
Bryony. Ray became the first overseas associate member of North Cheshire Marine Fine Scale Association and keeps in regular contact with the members. In 1999 during their annual vacation, Ken and Ron pictured above, met with Ray at the Intrepid Sea Air Space Museum, New York. Ray is an assistant curator to the museum and gave them a grand tour of the whole complex. |

Ray is a keen model builder and he has been
commission by the museum to construct a number of display
models. He has put together an impressive collection of
models for display at the museum.
