A Fishing vessel built around the turn of the 20th Century on the East coast of Australia.

The model was built in early 1992 and is of no particular ship, but is styled on the type of fishing vessel that was very common in the 1920's and 30's.

The model is powered by an electric motor and 6 volt batteries controlled by a five channel radio control unit. Working Functions of the model include the net winch and all the lights illuminate. The model is totally scratch built with no commercial parts used.

Based on the original ship Guardsman by Vic Smeed, this model is scaled up from the original drawings.

The guardsman was a Custom & Excise launch used to ferry Custom Officials to ships, which had entered port.

Based on the plan of the Miranda Steam Launch, this model is total scratch built from mahogany. It also has a Stuart Turner Double 10 steam engine, purchased from Ron Horabin during Kens' visit to England. The engine was built by a club member for Ken.
