Ray
became the first overseas associate member of North
Cheshire Marine Fine Scale Association after contacting Ron Horabin
about his book on HMS Bryony. He lives in New Jersey, USA.
Ray is a keen model builder and he has been commissioned by the Sea Air and Space Museum, in New York to construct a number of display models |

The
model depicts the island bridge in it's present day format and is displayed
at the museum with another version of the period from late 1944.
The model is primarily built from plastic sheet, rod and tubing, from plans level by level. The paint is poly scale water base. Ray says the most difficult part of the model were all the windows, but thank god for pre cut strips of styrene. |
